Cross Town Notary Services is a mobile notary public commissioned by the State of California. We are not attorneys licensed to practice law in California, and we are not a law firm. Nothing we say, write, or publish on this website constitutes legal advice.

02What We Cannot Do
- Draft, prepare, complete, or correct legal documents on your behalf.
- Advise you on which document or form you need, or which notarial act applies.
- Explain the meaning, contents, or legal consequences of a document you are signing.
- Provide legal, immigration, tax, real estate, or financial advice of any kind.
- Act as your representative, agent, or advocate with a lender, court, or agency.
03What We Do
Our role is narrow and defined by law: we verify the identity of each signer using acceptable identification, confirm the signer is signing willingly and is aware of the transaction, administer any required oath or affirmation, complete and affix the notarial certificate and seal, and record the act in our notary journal.
For loan signings and apostille requests, we also handle documents and coordinate return delivery according to the instructions provided by the party who engaged us.
04Notarization Is Not Validation
A notarization confirms the identity of the signer and that the signature was made — it does not verify that a document is accurate, complete, legal, or enforceable. We make no representation that any notarized document will be accepted by a court, bank, recorder, government agency, or foreign authority.
05No Guaranteed Outcomes or Timelines
Apostille and authentication processing is performed by the California Secretary of State or another government authority, and loan closings depend on lenders, escrow, title, and recording offices. Any turnaround time we quote is a good-faith estimate. We do not control and cannot guarantee third-party processing times or decisions.

Information on this website — including service descriptions, FAQs, and blog-style content — is general in nature, may not reflect the most current law, and may not apply to your situation. Reviews and results shown on this site describe past experiences and do not predict your outcome.
Contacting us, submitting the form, or booking an appointment does not create an attorney-client relationship and does not obligate us to perform a notarization that we are legally required to decline.
